Appsee Xamarin (Android) Integration Instructions

  1. Download the latest Appsee dll for Xamarin.
  2. In your Xamarin project, right-click "References", then choose "Edit References...." and add the dll.
  3. In any activity which is an entry-point to your app, add: using AppseeAnalytics.Android;
  4. Add the following line to the OnCreate method in your app's main Activity:
    Appsee.Start("YOUR API KEY"); Your API keys are available in the Appsee dashboard.
    You will need to register or login in order to view your API keys.
  5. If missing, add the following permissions to your AndroidManifest.xml file:
    <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" />
    <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
  6. Add the Appsee background uploader service to your AndroidManifest.xml file (before the closing </application> tag):
    <service android:name="com.appsee.AppseeBackgroundUploader" />
  7. That's it, you're good to go!
    Launch your app, use it for a few seconds and press the "home" button.
    Visit the dashboard to view your first recording.

Important Note

Appsee uploads data only when the app is minimized to the background.
If you are running from XCode do not stop the app, just press on the "home" button in order for data to be uploaded.
