Appsee Cocos2d (iOS) Integration Instructions

You can install the iOS SDK through cocoapods (recommended) or manually.
  1. Install cocoapods if you don't already have it.
    If you don't want to use cocoapods, you can install Appsee manually.
  2. Add pod 'AppseeGL' to your Podfile and run pod install.
  3. In your app delegate, include:
    #import <Appsee/Appsee.h> import Appsee
  4. Add the following line in your application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions: method with your API key:
    [Appsee start:@"YOUR API KEY"]; Appsee.start(@"YOUR API KEY") You can view all your API keys in your dashboard (you need to register or login in order to get your API key).
  5. In your project tree, go to libs/cocos2d/Platforms/iOS, and locate CCGLView.m (may be EAGLView.m in older versions) - and add the following header at the top of the file:
    #import <Appsee/Appsee.h> Note: In case you are using cocos2d as a pod, add the following line instead:
    #import "Appsee.h" Locate the following line:
    if(![context_ presentRenderbuffer:GL_RENDERBUFFER]) and add this line right BEFORE it:
    [Appsee appendGLFrame:self];
  6. Important Note!

    Appsee uploads data only when the app is minimized to the background.
    If you are running from XCode do not stop the app, just press on the "home" button in order for data to be uploaded.

    That's it, you're good to go!
    Launch your app, use it for a few seconds and press the "home" button.
    Visit the dashboard to view your first recording.
