Appsee Alerts

Introducing the alerts feature in Appsee which allows you to never miss the moment when a certain metric changes or your app crashes!
You'll find the alerts page by going to Settings -> Alerts. Alerts are very easy to set up and involve three steps: trigger, action and test.

Trigger

You can fine tune the alerts to your liking based on one of two triggers:
When a session crashes
This will alert you given the selected action for any crashed session that occurs under the selected app.
When a metric changes
This will alert you given the selected action based on a myriad of different metrics.
You can set all triggers based on bigger, smaller, bigger or equal and smaller or equal than the chosen number (>, <, >=, <=).
These are the triggers available to you:

Once you set up your desired trigger, you can decide on the action to be taken once it has been triggered.

Action

We offer four different actions for you to chose from. You can have multiple actions for every alert.
  • Send an SMS - Send an SMS message to the provided mobile phone number.
  • Send an Email - Send an email to the entire team or to selected users in your Appsee account.
  • Call a Webhook - Perform a HTTP POST request to the defined address. Please see further explanation here.
  • Send a Slack Message - Send slack message to the specified channel.

You are also able to set an alert “freeze” to prevent Appsee from sending too many alerts in a given time:

Test

After you set up your trigger and action, you will be able to preview your alert and decide whether to make any further changes or to “set it free”.

We encourage you to check out the new alerts feature and explore all of it’s possibilities.
